The objective of the Study was to formulate an integrated coastal zone planning and management plan, including a methodology for better coordination of all procedures and relevant stakeholders or policy mechanisms that have an impact on the coastal zone, in order to ensure their sustainable development through this integrated approach.
The Strategy for the Integrated Coastal Zone Management of Cyprus was completed through a specially designed Action Plan, which will act as the roadmap for the implementation of the Strategy. The Action Plan comprised 40 strategic actions, in order to achieve the coordinated management of the land-sea interaction. Actions were time-programmed, prioritized and costed.
